Food for Face : Oatmeal

Oatmeal is not just for those diet days of yours but interestingly, it has been used as a skincare product for many years, in fact since the ancient Roman times. The best part is , it’s so darn cheap. Guess what’s the downside? Yup, you’d probably be licking the food off your face 😛 (talking from experience!)

If you typed in ‘oatmeal’ on MakeupAlley (that’s my reference site whenever i want to buy skincare/makeup products), you will instantly notice that the average score is 4.6/5 and 93 percent of people chose ‘would buy again’. So what oatmeal-containing product am I talking about? Suprise…simply oatmeal!!!! Yup, oatmeal the food! Bubzbeauty, a Makeup Guru on Youtube uses Quacker Oats and she swore by it! She claimed it helped her acne prone skin.

I used Organic Oat Bran.

Try this all natural beauty recipe: Mix oatmeal with water to form a paste. Squeeze the excess milky water on one hand and pat in on your face. Keep for a good 30 seconds or so and then slather the wet oatmeal onto your face.You can use it as a scrub or mask. I simply love this.

So what does it do? i find that it reduces the redness on my face whenever i have blemishes. With prolonged use, you will notice that your pores shrink plus it brightens the overall complexion. Some people use oat bath for eczema.

This is the best natural skincare tip i have ever tried!

      Hanis, antara semua natural tips, yg ni paling i rajin buat. i mmg simpan dalam tupperware kecik n keep in the bathroom… senang.

    found it buat masa bile petua ni? i mean pagi ke malam then biasa doctor jdkan mask or scrub? if mask how long do we need to put it?

    i got redness on my face now dats why want to try it..

      My fav DIY is oatmeal. I keep a tupperware of oatmeal in my bathroom so pagi ke ptg bila sempat i pakai. Both mask n scrub. Amik air oatmeal n tempek kat muka mcm pakai toner. Then basahkan oatmeal yg sama n biar kat muka 10-15 mins. Masa nk basuh , scrubkan muka dulu. 2 in 1 🙂
